Privacy notice
Last updated: August 2026
Binny is built to be private by default. This page covers the website waitlist and, in short, how the app handles your data.
The waitlist (this website)
If you enter your email to join the waitlist, we store that email address for one purpose: to tell you when Binny launches and, occasionally, about big Binny news. We don't sell it, rent it, or pass it on. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to hello@binnybin.app.
The form is handled by a third-party form provider purely to deliver the message to us. No analytics or advertising trackers run on this site.
The app
When Binny ships, your address and bin schedule are stored on your device, not on our servers, and no account is required to use it. To find your council, the app sends your postcode to the free postcodes.io lookup; it doesn't include any personal identifiers. Reminders are scheduled locally on your phone.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@binnybin.app and we'll sort it.
